This is the 2nd Part where I go over and review 8 different styles of speaker terminals/banana plugs and provide you with an overview of their different styles. I continue with last 4 banana plugs, show you the differences, show you the length and wire entry sizes, and how to attach the speaker wire. In Part 1 I will review the first four plugs, and at the end of the 2nd video (due in two weeks) I will go over my favorite designs. Check out Part 1 bellow and let me know what you think! Also read on bellow for additional information and links to the plugs I reviewed. ✌😎

I finally got around to finishing another video! This time I decided to focus on car maintenance and servicing your disc brakes. I have been doing my own brakes for over a decade now, and it is a somewhat simple job. It might seem intimidating at first, but once you do it and get the basic tools, you will breeze through it next time. It’s 4 basic BOLTS that you need to remove!!! You will need to invest in a few tools, and a good mechanic set, but those things will pay for themselves in the long run, and you get to keep them forever! Check out the video bellow to see how I did it, and read on for the parts and tools I used! 😎
I finally got around making another video. It has been tough getting back into it with all the work and personal life.
This time I want to showcase my first major DIY build that started it all for me. My Red DIY speakers, the ZX Spectrum. They are designed by Paul Carmody, the maker of the very famous DIY Speakers Overnight Sensations and Amiga. I think this was an overlooked design, because of it’s more expensive components.
Check out my latest DIY video 📺 bellow 😁.
Have you considered acoustic treatment for your home? There is just too much reverberations and echo in your room, or you want to quiet down your room. Great! Lets do it! How much? $80 for a 2’x4′ a panel + shipping!!!! Can I DIY it cheaper? Yes!
I build mine around $45 per panel by using premium/professional acoustic material, but if you select cheaper acoustic material you can get that close to $35-$40 per panel!!!! (even cheaper if plywood goes down) 😎
Check out my latest DIY video 📺 bellow 😁.
This should be a QUICK ONE! My 2nd, Livingroom project, is to hide my unsightly wires hanging from my TV!
Check out my 6 min installation video!
I did some research and I went for simplicity and speed of installation! I chose the Legrand-Wiremold CMK70 Flat Screen TV Cord and Cable Power Kit.
This kit came with a hole saw, and fish tape that I can reuse later on! It is much simpler to cut a round hole then to fiddle with a drywall knife and make sure you have level rectangular cuts!
I think the round box is the FASTEST way to do an in-wall installation!
How do you make speaker wire cables that can rival cables costing hundreds of dollars? Watch my video and read on of course! 😎
Cables, source for MUCH debate in the audio world. It’s “Snake Oil” vs “Your Just Deaf”! Can audio cables make your sound system sound better or different? Well, if you are like me, you will DIY your own pair of Venomous Snakes with an infinite amount of SNAKE OIL to lubricate your ears! 😮🐍😎🐍😂🐍
So here is the Krait Cable Build! Made form Canare 4s11 Oxygen Free Coper Wire (Made in Japan), in a star quad configuration to give you an 11 gauged wire! Paired with solid brass banana plugs, with two set screws that will keep that venom flowing till the end of time!😲🐍
It has been super busy the last few weeks so I did not have much time for DIY. However I did put together this quick video showing the speaker disassembly and tweeter replacement of the Polk CSi A6 Center Channel Speaker. It is a lot of speaker for $150 new, but I was lucky enough to get it very cheap used, BUT the tweeter was blown! 😒
Was it worth it replacing the tweeter? Is it worth buying this center channel new, or should I spend $150 on a DIY kit?
Replacing the tweeter or woofers is easy, as you can see in the video, all you need is a set of Hex Keys and the replacement drivers.
This Home Improvement project took a few weekends to get done, and I recorded a TON of footage for my YouTube video bellow. It took me a while to make this video so it’s finally here!
In this video I cover:
- How to repair and prep drywall, fix nail pop outs and cracks
- How to prime and paint your walls
- What primer and paint I used
- How to install door trim/casing
- How to install baseboard molding, and corners in particular
- How to caulk door casing and baseboard molding
I have enough footage on each of the above to do a detailed tutorial for each but the 10minute video will do for now. 😁
Over the winter break I finally got around to mount my TV on the wall!
I am a bit of a “baby audiophile” and I’ve been itching to bring a part of the home theater sound system into my family room! I couldn’t do that before because the TV was resting on the shelf and there was no room for my receiver and center channel… no receiver meant no big boy speakers either 😎. Also the TV was sitting too low, and it always put a strain on my neck when I tried to relax on my couches.😒
My neck and my ears had finally had enough!!!!
So, the solution was to mount my TV on the wall, free up the necessary shelf space, and be more comfortable when watching.
Read on to understand the reasons behind my methods, and check out my YouTube Video to see how I found MY best placement, and how I mounted the TV on the wall.
I was going to mount the TV on the wall anyways, so there is no point to wait for my “major renovation” of the family room. I can actually enjoy watching shows and movies NOW, so lets do it!
